Advanced oils, lubricants and treatments since 1887
This month, we have been celebrating various promotions throughout the company. As part of our #meettheteam we caught up with Jordan Wimpenny. Jordan has been with Millers Oils for over four years and has recently been promoted to UK Sales Development Manager for our Fluid Management Division. Find out more about his career at Millers Oils and his life outside of work.
What do you do at Millers Oils?
I currently look after the Fluid Management Division and look at ways of developing and growing the business within our existing customers and also new customers.
Who has influenced you most when it comes to how you approach your work?
Well, when it comes to talking about influences and how I feel I have developed over the years I have been with Millers Oils then I would have to say Tony Lowe. His expertise and guidance to be a successful manager has really shone through and encouraged me to aim higher and succeed. Craig Chatburn has been very influential for me too, his metal working knowledge and the training he has provided to expand my knowledge further is essential for my new role. It is always appreciated!
What’s your go to productivity trick?
Planning a night in advance of what I have to do the next day. However, if I need a break, I nip to see my colleague Lisa Shepherdson… her chocolate drawer is always my pick up point to get me back on track!
What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
My weekends are fulfilled with coaching an under 10’s football team and also playing football with my mates in open age. This is often followed by a few beers of course.
What is one of the best parts of working for Millers Oils?
The best part of working for Millers Oils is that you really are one of the family and can instantly feel the positive vibes throughout the business. Everyone is so friendly and approachable!
