Meet the Team – Peter Woodward – IT Manager

At Millers Oils, we pride ourselves on the dedication and expertise of our team. Today we highlight one of Millers Oils most experienced and valued employees, Peter, our IT Manager who has been with the company for an impressive 35 years.

What was your first role at Millers Oils?

I started at Millers Oils as a Laboratory Technician, it was also my first job after leaving school.

How long have you worked at Millers Oils?

I’ve been with Millers Oils for 35 years. It was my 35^th work anniversary this week.

How did you transition from your first role to becoming IT Manager?

I started as a Laboratory Technician, then an Assistant Chemist, followed by Quality Manager, and finally became IT Manager back in 2006, which has been my position ever since.

What is the best part of your job?

I get great satisfaction in system development to simplify processes and save time within the business.

Have you got a memorable achievement at Millers Oils?

One of my most notable achievements was helping Millers Oils to become the first oil company in the UK to achieve ISO 9001:1994 certification whilst I was the Quality Manager.
