Job Title: Senior Export Administrator

Location: Brighouse, West Yorkshire

Salary: £35,000 – £38,000 DOE

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Working Hours: Monday to Friday (37.5 hours per week)

 

Role Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Export Administrator to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys taking ownership, improving processes, and working collaboratively in a fast-paced export environment.

As a key member of our small team, you will play an important role in ensuring the efficient and accurate administration of international shipments while continuously seeking opportunities to improve performance and support business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end export administration process, ensuring all documentation is accurate and compliant
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to our international customers and distributors, managing inbound and outbound customer communications
  • Prepare and process export documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and shipping documents
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, carriers, customers, and internal departments to ensure timely deliveries
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and export procedures
  • Apply and interpret Incoterms accurately when processing customer orders and shipments
  • Monitor export activities and resolve any shipping or documentation issues efficiently
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, increase efficiency, and enhance service levels
  • Support colleagues across the business and contribute positively to a collaborative team environment
  • Undertake any other reasonable task as requested by the Head of International or other senior managers within the Company – Carry out these tasks in an enthusiastic and proactive manner

 

About You:

The successful candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in an export administration role
  • A strong understanding of Incoterms and international export documentation
  • Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
  • A proactive mindset with a genuine desire to identify improvements and drive better performance
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail
  • The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to work successfully within a small team
  • A positive, “can-do” attitude with a willingness to support others and take ownership of responsibilities
