Meet The Team – Najeeb Ghrayeb

This week, as part of our Meet The Team we caught up with Najeeb Ghrayeb. Najeeb has recently been promoted to Product Manager  for our industrial range and initially started at Millers Oils as Sales Executive in February 2020.

What do you do at Millers Oils?
I started my new role as Industrial Product Manager in April, however, I began my career at Millers Oils as a sales executive for the Automotive sector of the business due to previous experience. I am thrilled to have the opportunity to progress in my career, and within my new role, I am responsible for a huge product portfolio.

What is your go to breakfast?
It all depends whether I am counting my calories or not… If not it has to be a white coffee with sausages, eggs and mushrooms! You can’t beat that combo. If I am strict dieting I usually have protein powder oats with milk and blueberries!

Who has influenced you most when it comes to how approach your work?
Now that’s a tricky question, when starting at Millers Oils I had support from Jordan Wimpenny, as I knew him previously outside of work. However, I never knew how good Jordan is at what he does. I honestly believe that he can sell a bible into an atheist. Then Louise, I currently am covering her maternity leave, she is the brain that drew the right path for me to manage her area in her absence. Her advice and tips have stuck with me. She prepared me to walk into the right path in product management, and till now I sometimes take a step back in difficult situations and ask myself what would Louise do if she was here.

What would we most likely find you doing on the weekend?
Well it depends on the weekend and the weather! Sometimes, I just want to sit back and relax. But I enjoy hiking when it’s sunny and not too hot.

What is your go-to productivity trick?
Waking up early everyday around 4.30 am and hitting the gym. I end my morning shower with one minute of cold water, this wakes me up and refreshes my brain so I am ready to face a new day at work.

What is one of the best parts of working for Millers Oils?
My stand-out achievement was when I landed my first automotive customer, after only 3 days from starting working with Millers Oils.

Favourite car brand and why?
At the minute I own a mini cooper, but my all-time favourite is the BMW 1 Series. This reminds me of when I was a kid… my cousins used to steal the keys from my uncle while he was sleeping and drive fast around the block! I wouldn’t do that now of course.
