Meet The Distributor – Casper Hanken

As part of our Meet The… series, we have been getting in touch with our distributors to find out more about them and their work.  Casper Hanken is our distributor from Millers Oils Benelux and has been telling us about his family, hobbies and passions. Here’s how it went…

Tell me about yourself.

My name is Casper Hanken. I’m 51 years old and was born in Groningen (Netherlands). I’m a father of 2 children; Silver (16) and Sterre (21).

What made you want to be a distributor for Millers Oils?

I was a classic car owner and by coincidence found a pallet with Millers Oils Classic car oil, Classic Pistoneeze 20w50 and, at that time, Transvers M (Mini oil). I was instantly in love with the brand and saw opportunities in the niches of the classic and motorsport sectors.

What is your favourite Millers Oils product?

My favourite product is the VSPe power plus multishot because it is a one of a kind product, and users really feel the difference when they use it.

What do you like most about working with Millers Oils?

I think I am the longest sitting distributor, and from the first export manager, called John Barnes quite some others came around. But in all the years with Millers Oils (almost 30 years, I go for the golden watch 😊), it has never been boring.

How many, if any, people do you work with at your distribution?

4 people in total work with me.

What is your favourite thing about the country you live in?

The Dutch mentality and open mind culture as well as doing business with Dutch people is what I like about the Netherlands. Also, as a water sports lover, we have the best kitesurf spots in Holland.

What is one thing you could not live without?

Being my own boss and my freedom.

If you won a lot of money, what would you do first with it?

I would travel the world for 6 months (or longer), with my kite gear and visit the best spots in the world.

What is something you want to achieve by the end of this year?

My own new office and warehouse in Oosterhout, which is happening in a few weeks from now 😉.
