MIA AwardOn January 10th we were awarded the prestigious Motorsport Industry Association "Technology and Innovation Award". Other leading nominations included DeltaWing, Gill Sensors and the Zytek Group.

Martyn Mann, who has led the development of our Nanodrive low friction technology, collected the award on behalf of the company from Steve Sapsford of Ricardo. An MIA Award is the equivalent of an Oscar in the film industry and is recognition of outstanding achievement in the very competitive motorsport market.

In April 2012 we were awarded a Queen's Award for Enterprise, in recognition of significant and continued growth in export sales - a real honour that was part of our celebration in September.

Millers Oils research, develop and produce advanced engine oils, gearbox oils, lubricants and fuel additives. The very latest example are the energy efficient oils for passenger cars that allow drivers to save on fuel costs and reduce the wear on their engines.

Latest oils are the Nanodrive Racing Engine Oils, that allow race drivers to get more power from their engine to the wheels and reduce engine wear. At the top level of rallying Martin Prokop is getting consistent good results with these motorsport oils.

We celebrate 125 years of oil development in 2012 and have formulated many World leading oil and fuel additives, made possible by a continuous investment in research and product development.

We were the first to introduce engine oils specifically for diesel engines, followed by commercial vehicle oils allowing buses and trucks to run on long drain intervals. More recently we launched an award-winning range of nano technology gearbox and transmission oils.

Drivers of Classic cars are reassured by endorsements of our fuel additives by respected bodies such as the FBHVC.

The third cause for celebration this year was the opening of our state of the art Research & Development Centre by Lord Drayson. Development of new formulations and rigorous testing is now quicker than ever, allowing us to bring new products to the market faster.
